Abstract

A new dinoflagellate cyst genus Sabathua, has been instituted from the Subathu Formation, Simla Hills consisting of two new species, viz., S. sahnii and S. spinosa. It has been observed that Sabathua is distributed in high frequency in the upper part of the formation. Its palaeoecological significance has also been discussed.
