Abstract

The present paper deals with the palynological investigation of the Katrol sediments (Upper Jurassic) exposed around Bhul, Kutch district, Gujarat State, W. India. Nine sections were measured and samples were collected systematically for palynological studies.

Applanopsis, Araucariacites and Laricoidites are dominant genera in the assemblage. Cyathidites, Concavissimisporites, Lycopodiacidites, Lycopodiumsporites, Foveotriletes, I mpardecispora, Contignisporites, Alisporites and Podocarpidites are Subdominant. Trilobosporites, Matonisporites and Katrolaites are rare in the assemblage.
