Abstract

While analysing the palynological contents of some coals from Godavari Coal Basin (Lower Gondwana), five new miospore genera have been found to bear hitherto undescribed associations of morphographic characters. In the present communication, these new sporomorphs have been described; among them Godavarisporites and Lobatisporites are triletes, Kingiacolpites is a monocolpate and Gondisphaeridium and Globulaesphaeridium are alete forms.
