Denkania Indica gen. et. sp. nov. A glossopteridean fructification from the lower gondwana of India

Denkania indica is a female reproductive organ probably of a Glossopteris species. It consists of a small petiolate, linear, fertile loaf with a broad midrib and anastomosing secondary veins. 5, 6 or more cupules borne on long, slender stalk spring from the basal portion of the leaf. Each cupule contains probably one large seed.
