Undispersed spores from sporangia of Arberiella were isolated to study variations in their form caused by compression and maceration in order to assess the systematic importance of such variations in the demarcation of species of Sporae dispersae. The effect of maceration was also studied in spores of two living conifers Pimts roxburghii and Cedrus deodara. A new species of Arberiella, viz., A. thomasii is described.
