Abstract

Leafy twigs of Brachyphyllum bansacnsis n. sp., B. eikaiostomum n. sp., B. suryanarayanaii n. sp., and Marwaria latifolia (Feisttmantel) n. comb. are described here from the Lower Cretaceous of Bansa, South Rewa Gondwana Basin. Marwaria is a new genus, based on the specimen originally described by Feistmantel (1882) as Araucarites latifolius. Cone-scales of Araucarites fibrosa n. sp. and Araucarites macropterus Feistmantel have also been described.
