Abstract

On the basis of morphographical, epidermal and palaeogeographical differences it is proposed to separate Sphenophyllum speciosllm (Royle, 1839) M'Clelland, 1850 from the genus Sphenophyllum Koenig and revert to the original nomenclature, i.e. Trizygia speciosa Royle, 1839.
